Miguel co-founded Atena Equity Partners in 2014 and is its board member. Miguel also represents Atena as a board member in several of its funds' porfolio companies.

Miguel has more than 15 years of operational experience and a wide international background.

He was the M&A and Business Development Director at Companhia Previdente (04-13), where he was responsible for the build-up process that included 6 acquisitions in three different countries (Spain, Italy, Brasil) and their post-acquisition integration. He has also coordinated and implemented several optimization processes and the operational restructuring which followed the market downturn of 2008.

In the beginning of his career, Miguel was an industrial engineer at Delphi Automotive and at Siemens Automotive (96-98 and 98-00).

Miguel has an MBA from Darden Business School (UVA) and an engineering BSc from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
